Alpa Nawre
Executive Director
Alpa is an Architect, a Landscape Architect and an Urban Designer. She has worked internationally in design offices in India, US, UAE and Switzerland for over a decade and is a LEED AP. She is a recipient of the Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture Award for Excellence in Design Studio Teaching, the Dumbarton Oaks Mellon Fellowship in Urban Landscape Studies, and a Landscape Architecture Foundation’s Fellowship for Innovation and Leadership. Alpa’s projects have won national and international awards and her writings have been published widely. Alpa is also Assistant Professor in the Department of Landscape Architecture at University of Florida, and Partner at her mission-based design practice, Alpa Nawre Design. She serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Architectural Education and on the GSD Alumni Council. She holds a Masters degree in Urban Design from Harvard University's Graduate School of Design, a Masters degree in Landscape Architecture from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor of Architecture from NIT Raipur, India.
Alpa is passionate about combining process and product to create an impact at scale through built environments that can address critical infrastructure issues.
